Catherine Thomas

Graduate

Catherine has a Masters in Landscape Architecture with a keen interest in urbanism and rewilding. From an arts background initially, Catherine gained valuable multi-disciplinary experience working in the heritage sector before going on to train as a Landscape Architect. She is enjoying building up a broad landscape experience base, and is involved in public realm projects, landscape concept design, and higher education projects ranging from strategic design to tender drawings.

Mindenhurst: The redevelopment of Princess Royal Barracks

Nicholas Pearson Associates provided landscape and ecological services to Skanska IS for the re-development of the Princess Royal Barracks for 1200 new homes, known as Mindenhurst. Construction is underway for the Village Green, Suitable Area of Natural Greenspace (SANG) and Spine Road. The planning and design proposals are strongly led by the local heathland and woodland character and include, play areas, a lake, footpaths and cycle routes.
