The former Stothert & Pitt land in Bath is the key site for the major redevelopment and regeneration of the Western Riverside area of Bath. The brownfield site of approximately 15 acres has been the focus for appraisals for a number of years and a strategic regeneration framework for the wider area is now underway.

Set within the World Heritage City of Bath, and adjacent to the River Avon and the Conservation Area, the site's sensitivity in development terms has been clearly recognised from the outset.

 

We were commissioned, as part of a multi disciplinary team, to provide environmental planning, landscape design and ecological inputs into the masterplanning process. The existing condition of the site provides a range of undisturbed habitats, and design focused on waterside habitat creation, as well as the recreation of existing habitats within the new development.

Based on the EIA process, a masterplan was prepared which incorporated a range of mitigation measures. An Environmental Statement was prepared to accompany the Planning Application.
