Braydon Mead

Braydon Mead is Crest Nicholson South West's residential scheme at Priory Vale, part of the 260 hectare greenfield site on the northern edge of Swindon planned as mixed use development. The master plan for the area has been carefully developed following 'best practice' urban design principles.

Crest Nicholson's first phase comprises a medium density 'semi-rural' style development including two and three storey houses and flats. The housing design reflects local building styles, with a key building reflecting mill architecture. This project is one of many projects Crest are now taking forward in Priory Vale, including plans for the new village centre serving the development.

Nicholas Pearson Associates have an ongoing role with Crest Nicholson, acting as landscape consultant assisting in the design layouts of the residential areas, preparing hard and soft landscape strategies, preparing detailed landscape designs, and supervising site implementation works. For the first phase we have prepared contemporary garden designs schemes for four show houses, a series of gardens surrounding the 'mill' building including a pond and stream, and undertaken general housing landscape design. We also provide landscape schemes for roads, public open space, and for the village centre squares.
