The hospital provides the major focus for healthcare in the Plymouth region and work is underway for a major expansion as part of a major new reorganization of services.    The proposed site lies within Plymouth International Business Park and is bounded by a sensitive landscape including a narrow stream valley, woodland and species rich grassland habitats.  

We were appointed as environmental planning and landscape design consultants as part of a multi disciplinary team to prepare proposals for an outline planning application.   Key elements have included new key worker accommodation, the new diagnostic and treatment centre and an emergency link road.

The proposals were designed to minimise landscape and visual impacts, this is to be achieved by the retention of important landscape features wherever possible, including historic hedgebanks and key woodland vegetation.
