The United Kingdom and Ireland's historic designed landscapes
are of international renown, providing a link with our past as
well as a valuable cultural, recreational and economic resource.
They are however fragile environments, with many under threat.
They require careful use and management to ensure their preservation
and conservation for future generations.
We offer specialist advice on historic landscapes to a wide
range of clients, including private individuals, developers, local
authorities, the National Trust and the Heritage
Lottery Fund.
We undertake survey and assessment of historic landscapes, the
production of management and restoration plans and supervision
on the ground. Projects include park restoration, lake works,
conservation of garden buildings and structures, replanting and
management.
We have particular experience of the requirements of the Heritage
Lottery Fund and we have been instrumental in securing over £20
million of funding for our clients for urban and historic park
restoration throughout the UK (please see our Grants
and Funding page).
