This high quality Sainsbury's store and riverside walkway, constructed by Meadowbank Braidwater Ltd is located between Strand Road and the River Foyle. The development has revitalised a previously derelict part of the Londonderry riverside.

Nicholas Pearson Associates provided expert witness at the Public Inquiry on behalf of Sainsbury's, and developed a co-ordinated landscape masterplan for the site, as part of a larger urban regeneration project along the bank of the River Foyle. Thereafter we provided a comprehensive landscape design service for the project, working to Meadowbank Braidwater Ltd.

This included the preparation of an award winning detailed hard landscape design for the riverside walkway, the planting design for the site, Contract Supervision of the softworks and the preparation of a long term Landscape Management Plan for the scheme.
