Client: Bristol City Council
Location: Bristol
A detailed historical survey of estate, Repton's first landscape in Bristol, and a fine exposition of his principles. The remains of earlier designed landscapes, buried archaeology and the nature conservation value of the site were also identified to be protected.
The study aimed to balance the requirements of public access, cost efficient maintenance and historic restoration for this important public park and woodland. Following initial restoration works since 1995 we have helped the City secure a £3 million grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund for continuing conservation work. The project has now been completed by the City Council.
