Client: Ashmill Developments
Bathwick Place is a high quality residential development sensitively located within the Bath World Heritage Site and Conservation Area and adjacent to the Kennet and Avon Canal.
The project comprised of a series of townhouses designed as a single, distinctive building and set within a framing landscape, which includes a carefully designed roof garden.
The site included a significant change of level together with a number of mature trees associated with the canal which were incorporated into the landscape design.
We undertook ecology surveys (including those for bats, reptiles and badgers) and provided associated advice to address nature conservation legislation, meet planning application requirements and provide habitat enhancements.
We undertook landscape appraisal and design to support the planning application process, and also coordinated arboricultural appraisals and provided a tree retention and removal strategy as part of the landscape design of the site.
Following planning consent we then provided detailed landscape design inputs for tender and construction.
