The United Kingdom's historic designed landscapes are of international renown, providing a link with our past as well as a valuable cultural, recreational and economic resource. They are, however, fragile environments, with many under threat. They require careful use and management to ensure their preservation and conservation for future generations.
We offer specialist advice on historic landscapes to a wide range of clients, which have included private individuals, developers, local authorities, charitable trusts, the National Trust, English Heritage and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
We undertake survey and assessment of historic landscapes, the production of management and restoration plans and supervision on the ground. Projects include park restoration, lake works, conservation of garden buildings and structures, replanting and management.
We have particular experience of the requirements of the Heritage Lottery Fund and we have been instrumental in securing significant funding for our clients for urban and historic park restoration throughout the UK.
The Company has progressed projects from initial research up to completion and beyond, with project capital costs ranging from £60,000 to over £6 million. The historic landscape team, including the regional director, a landscape architect, historic landscape specialist and support staff, but work across the United Kingdom.
