Environmental Impact Assessment

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a procedure which aims to ensure systematic analysis of the environmental impacts of a development.

As EIA Quality Mark members, with in house Principal and Registered EIA Practitioners, we have carried out and coordinated a considerable number of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and have written and co-ordinated many Environmental Statements (ESs) for a diversity of schemes, and can advise on all stages of the EIA and planning process.

We are capable of and have extensive experience of, undertaking impact assessments associated with landscape and visual matters and ecology and biodiversity.

The 2011 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations emerged recently in England. We take a look at the potential impacts.

In October 2012, the European Commission proposed a comprehensive overhaul of the EIA Directive to adjust, steamline and strengthen the EIA process. We take a look at the proposed changes here.
